A couple days ago we alerted you about rumors concerning the picture released of an Xbox 360 mainboard possible crafted for the Xbox 360 slim. To date, Microsoft has not denied these rumors nor commented on them, and with Natal approaching it is very possible they are working on something behind the scenes. The mainboard looks a lot like the motherboard for the Xbox 360. This new main board contains a chip that combines the central processing unit, memory controller hub, and graphics, making it less expensive to produce than the current Xbox 360. The single chip model is smaller, slimmer, and more power efficient. Sony manufactured the PS3 Slim at a cheaper price than that of the normal PS3.
